This method adopts 9 fixed directions toward each key group to achieve blind typing on any screen with a 5-way D-Pad. The company is named Direction9 as the "D9" solution.

 

Our QuickPad technology is applicable to any type of input controller that has 5-way D-Pad keys or touch surfaces. Currently, users press 5-way keys on a remote control to input characters, one by one. It is cumbersome to maneuver the cursor across 40+ locations for text entries. Additionally, a traditional A through Z layout takes a large footprint on the screen. Our mission at Direction9 is to reduce these user inefficiencies with our QuickPad method.
